A flake floor has coloured vinyl flakes spread into the wet epoxy and sealed under a clear coat. The flakes help hide dust and marks. A quartz floor uses fine granules instead, which give a textured surface.
A metallic floor has pigment mixed through the epoxy for a glossy, marbled finish. It suits showrooms and living areas more than workshops. Dan helps you choose at the site visit.
Dulux Avista epoxy flooring
Epoxy needs a clean, sound surface to bond to. Dust and old coatings stop it gripping the concrete. Cracks and holes left unfilled show through the finish and can let the coating fail early.
We clean the floor and remove old coatings, then grind the concrete and fill cracks and holes. Some floors need resurfacing or levelling first. Dan checks this at the site visit and lists it in your quote.

Epoxy is hard-wearing and resists scratches and wear. It is not scratch-proof, though. Sweep it often and clean up spills so it keeps looking good.
