Some older Brisbane homes have corrugated fibro roofs, often called Super Six, made with asbestos. The Queensland Government says it is illegal to clean these roofs with high-pressure water, because it sprays asbestos dust over your property.
Do not paint an asbestos roof yourself. If you think your roof contains asbestos, we recommend a professional assessment first, and removal by licensed asbestos specialists where it is needed.
